You find this growing town at the western tip of the peninsula. Named after the famous admiral, Turgut Reis, this is a busy little town in its own right and combines a compact town centre with several long sandy beaches. This part of the coast is favoured by professional wind surfers as the winds are generally strong. There is a chic new marina which is the third largest in the Mediterranean. It offers a wide range of services to yachtsmen and international shopping for landlubbers too!
Regular buses connect Turgutreis with Bodrum.
Kadikalesi is the bay next to Turgutreis and offers long unspoilt sandy beaches.
