Many years ago the village Özdere was known as an “original fishing-village without mass-tourism in a romantic Bay in the Aegean Sea”  Since about 10 years it can be added to this statement that Özdere turned into a village that is also for tourists . 25 mins from Izmir Airport & 30 mins to Kusadasi
Nowadays Özdere is a touristic place with a good infrastructure and a mild climate during the whole year. The village is very suitable for families with children, because there are nice sandy beaches that offer peace and quiet.
Kalemlik National Park of the Ministry of Forestry gives daily tourist services and camping services with its unique beauty. Ozdere is famous for the “Satsuma” mandarin with its thin peel, and nice aroma and without seeds decorates the tables of the world. . .They have put “Mandarin” word in front of its name as a symbol of being nature, cleanness and being well presented by giving it another award. Also it is called “blue Mandarin” and only comes from Ozdere. The forests and rough nature characterize this nice holiday resort that lies between Çesme and Kusadasi at the south-west of the metropolis Izmir
In the neighbouring center, you will find a bank with pin-machine, post-office, medical services (doctor, dispensary, first aid) several supermarkets where you can find about all the daily needs. Along the main street,  you will find many shops and restaurants.

The famous site of Ephesus is just a 25 minutes drive away from Ozdere.
